Brendan is oldest of our trio by a mere 5 minutes. He is the sweetest, most calm baby. Brendan has been through SOOOO much during his first year of life. At 8 months of age, we noticed he was clenching his left fist and keeping his legs curled. An MRI confirmed our worst fear. The neurologist determined that he had suffered a stroke in-utero. It has affected his left side and impacted his motor development. It was very hard when we got the MRI results, but luckily we have a great neurologist who has been very upfront with us. She is confident he will walk and talk. He now has 4 (yes 4!!!) therapists that are working with him. He has an occupational therapist, physical therapist, developmental therapist and a speech therapist. He has also been put on seizure medication which has really helped as well.
This little guy has been through more medical testing and seen more doctors than I have seen in my entire life!! He is a trooper and really does not get upset, only when he wants to eat or when his two brothers steal his binky.
