Brendan is our six million dollar toddler. Ok, it may not be six million, but we have spent alot of money on orthopedic aids for our little guy. Thank goodness for insurance!!
Here is a list of his gear:
1. A helmet for cranial molding, very cute with a red and blue soccer ball design. His brother Aiden has one also, so we are constantly getting asked why Tristan is left out??? He has to wear this basically 24/7, but over the past week we have left it off since round number 2 of the stomach virus hit our family after getting back from Nebraska!!!
2. A hand brace to keep from clenching his fist. He is supposed to now wear this for three to four 20 minute increments throughout the day. He just started wearing this again because the first time he wore it he got the biggest blister I have ever seen and I refused to put it on him again until it fully healed.
3. A straighening device which keeps his forearm and elbow straight. This he is supposed to wear for 30 minutes, 2 or 3 times a day.
4. And his newest accessory, the leg braces. He has an AFO (ankle foot orthotic) for his left foot/leg and a shorter sure step orthotic for his right foot. His braces are decorated with soccer ball as well. He is supposed to wear these for two 1 hour increments thoughout the day.
Brendan is such a trooper and handles it all very well. He has been crawling all over the place and now his physical therapist is really working on his core muscles so he will push himself up to sitting. It is great to see him making progress.

He looks like the bionic baby! How do you keep track of when something goes on and another goes off? Amy and Chris you are the best!!!
What awesome parents to keep up with all these needs! I don't know how you two do it! REALLY!
