Chaos at the Museum

This evening we decided to take advantage of the Target Free Family Night at the Children's Museum. The Children's Museum is one of the few nice things about Indianapolis and is ranked one of the top in the country. It is huge, but still not big enough for all the people that were there this evening.

Looking back on the decision to go, there were a couple of things that should have alerted me to the utter chaos that erupted. First, the word FREE should have made me realize that many other people in Indy probably would have the same idea. Second, I also should have been alerted when it took me 45 minutes just to park because the 5 level (yes, 5 levels) parking garage was full!!!

We ended up staying a couple of hours and worked the crowds. I could not believe it, but there was even a line to go into the toddler play area. Seriously, who would make 3-20 month old toddlers and their big sister wait in line just to play?

The highlight of the evening was the rock star status of the boys. The happened when total stranger came up to us and asked if we were at Disney World 3 weeks ago because she had been there and recognized us. How cool is that, although I do have to admit it was probably not the boys, but the stroller that gave us away!
